Our regional forums offer a chance for the people we serve, families and service providers, to talk directly with local DDCS staff. It’s a way to hear concerns, share information and solve problems at a local level.
Each region meets four times a year. Meetings are open to the public, with a focus on hearing from those who receive services.
What to Expect
Meetings are held online, typically in the late afternoon. Counties have the option to host a hybrid meeting for their local region for people to attend in person or online. They last two and half hours.
We encourage attendees to:
- Let staff know of barriers happening in their region and find solutions to the barriers.
- Support counties in reaching out to the communities who are less represented.
- Gather concerns or questions from the community between meetings to share at meetings.
Regions are responsible for:
- Sharing what the region is doing in response to feedback from the previous meeting.
