The Adult Corrections Institutional Population Survey was a project within the Office of Research, Department of Social and Health Services. The project operated between March 1, 1979 and April 30, 1980. Federal funding, through an LEAA grant administered by the Division of Criminal Justice, Office of Financial Management, supported the project. The survey had three major purposes.
