CR-101 FILED TO CONSIDER ADDING NEW CHAPTER 388-107 WAC
ENHANCED SERVICES FACILITY (ESF) LICENSING RULES
Dear Enhanced Services Facilities Interested Party and Stakeholder:
The purpose of this letter is to let you know the department is considering adding a new chapter 388-107 WAC, on Enhanced Services Facilities Licensing Rules, and has begun the rule making process. The Department filed the enclosed CR-101 with the Office of the Code Reviser on July 22, 2013.
In 2005, the Legislature passed a law establishing a new licensure category called Enhanced Services Facilities. Funding to establish these facilities was provided this year under Third Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5034.
The Department has been tasked to write a new chapter of WACs under 388-107 that will provide licensing requirements for ESFs. A web page has been established for ESFs at http://www.aasa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/esf.htm. The CR 101 document is posted here along with other applicable resources. We will also be posting draft language for review and comment before filing the proposed rule with the CR-102.
