2013 Legislation: SSB 5630 – Implementing recommendations of the adult family home (AFH) quality assurance panel
Dear Adult Family Home Provider:
The purpose of this letter is to let you know about Substitute Senate Bill (SSB) 5630, which the Governor recently signed into law. SSB 5630 reflects the recommendations of the Adult Family Home Quality Assurance Panel and becomes effective July 28, 2013.
Highlights of the newly passed law include:
- A review of specialty trainings;
- Development and implementation of two new disclosure forms;
- Development of a more user-friendly website; and
- New standards for issuing citations and taking enforcement actions.
