ENFORCEMENT ACTION:  IMPOSED FOR NONPAYMENT OF FEES AND IMPACT ON APPLICATION FOR ADDITIONAL HOME(S)

Dear Adult Family Home Provider:

The purpose of this letter is to remind you about two new requirements resulting from 2011 legislation.  The two areas are: 1) If you do not pay your annual licensing fee, enforcement action will be taken; and 2) Any enforcement action may impact your ability to apply for an additional home.

Enforcement action imposed if you do not pay your fee when due:

If you fail to pay your annual license fee when due, the department is authorized to take enforcement action against your license as established in Revised Code Washington (RCW) 70.128.160.  Any enforcement action taken against your license, including failure to pay your fee when due, may impact your ability to apply for an additional adult family home license.

Application will not be accepted for an additional license when there is an enforcement action:

Under RCW 70.128.065, the department cannot accept an application:

  1. For a second home, unless the applicant has maintained the first adult family home license for at least 24 months with no enforcement actions;
  2. For a third or additional home, unless 12 months have passed since the previous adult family home license was granted and no enforcement action has been taken against any of the currently licensed homes.

If you have questions about the application process for an additional adult family home license, contact Amanda Jackson at (360) 725-2416.

Sincerely,

Joyce Pashley Stockwell
