CR-101 FILED AMENDING SECTIONS TO CHAPTER 388-97 WAC
Dear Nursing Facility/Home Administrator:
The department is amending sections to Chapter 388-97 of the Washington Administrative Code (WAC). The enclosed CR-101 document was filed in July with the Office of the Code Reviser.
The CR-101 document can also be found on the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration (ALTSA) internet website athttp://www.adsa.dshs.wa.gov/professional/nh.htm under "NH Rule Filings".
The department's purpose in filing the CR-101 is to amend sections to Chapter 388-97 WAC
so that they reflect statutory changes created by newly passed legislation. In 2013, the
Legislature passed Senate Bill (SB) 5510 which changed the definition of "neglect" and Senate
Bill (SB) 5077 which modified gender-specific terms to gender-neutral terms.
