
In the fall of 1991 a study was undertaken on the current intake assessment processes used at Washington State's adolescent alcohol and drug treatment centers, by the Adolescent Project in the Office of Research and Data Analysis. There were three main objectives for this study: 1) To investigate the level of agreement among drug treatment professionals on the placement of adolescents in different treatment programs. 2) To evaluate the existing placement process. 3) To identify the most important factors influencing primary treatment placements decisions.
