This report is one of the products of the Caseload Analysis Project which was commissioned by the DSHS assistant Secretary for Economic Services and carried out by the Office of Research and Data Analysis. The purpose of this project was to analyze recent growth of Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) caseloads and to develop more analytical and monitoring tools for use in investigating patterns of welfare caseload fluctuation.
