In response to a request from Senator West and Representative Braddock for the Long Term Care Commission, projections of long-term care caseloads and expenditures for 1991 through 2010 were completed, based on current policy and age-specific population growth-- with 1990 as a baseline. (Alternative caseload projections based upon the linear projection of 1981-1990 caseloads were completed for DDD programs to provide a contrast. Historically, DDD caseloads have grown considerably faster than age-specific population growth could account for.)
