Client Advocacy

The Regional Service Centers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing's seven offices throughout the state provide case management to people with hearing loss, their family members and the community. Case managers provide direct services to people with hearing loss and their families, working with them on how to advocate for equal access to programs and services offered by nonprofits, businesses and government agencies. Case managers work with clients to obtain reasonable accommodations to meet individual communication needs. Case managers also coordinate other services with nonprofits and government agencies and provide education and training so clients can fully participate and benefit. Case managers can assist with issues including:

  • Early intervention
  • Mental health
  • Housing
  • Alcohol and Substance Abuse
