DSHS launches new Military Skills Translator job-search tool

Veterans or those leaving military service have a new tool to use when searching for employment with Washington state.

The Military Skills Translator is an easy-to-navigate search engine. Users enter their branch of service and military operations code to look for employment opportunities at all Washington state agencies that match their skills and expertise. CMS enters into second SIA with Western State Hospital

OLYMPIA—The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) announced today that the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has entered into a second Systems Improvement Agreement (SIA) with Western State Hospital.  The SIA covers a period from November 2, 2017 to July 2, 2018, during which the hospital will retain CMS certification and continued eligibility for federal funding.
