The Work Incentive Program (WIN) provides job search assistance and other services to AFDC recipients in Washington State to help them find and hold employment. Participation is mandatory for some AFDC recipients and available on a voluntary basis to others on the assumption that employment of WIN participants will lead to AFDC grant reduction, grant termination, and economic self-sufficiency.
