RCW 71.09 - Sexually Violent Predators

According to Washington State Law RCW 71.09, sex offenders who have completed their criminal sentences, but whom state superior courts find to meet the definition of "sexually violent predator," may be civilly committed to the Special Commitment Center (SCC) for care, control, and custody. They remain in the total confinement program receiving ongoing treatment until the court determines that they are ready for placement in a community supervised living arrangement known as a Less Restrictive Alternative.
