WAC 246-843-130(7) requires that licensed nursing home administrators attend an approved course on laws relating to nursing homes in Washington, within 180 days of becoming licensed.
DOH has coordinated with Department of Social and Health Services - Residential Care Services to provide a 1-day state law course that meets WAC 246-843-130(7) requirements for continuing education. Currently, this course is provided two times per year and there is no charge.
ONLY licensed nursing home administrators or those currently participating in the DOH AIT program should plan to attend.
Training is virtual so you must have a strong Wi-Fi connection, and a computer with video camera and microphone audio capabilities.
