CSTC treats the most complicated and challenged youth. Some challenges addressed are psychiatric disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, bipolar disorder, learning disorders, behavior disorders, sexually inappropriate behavior, aggressive behavior and conditions where there is the potential for self harm or physical harm to others. Although it is not the norm, some youth with autism are also treated. Many of the youth have more than one of these challenges. Almost all have demonstrated an increasing display of the potential to be unsafe for themselves and others. This behavior tends to continue to escalate, and without appropriate training and treatment, it poses a clear and ever present danger. This is where CSTC can and usually does make a positive difference.
